Installation of a geothermal or air-to-air heat pump
system in a new home or building

Installation replacing a fossil fuel unit (gas, oil,
wood) only

Heat pump must have electric back-up heat

Dual-fuel systems and replacement of existing electric
systems do not qualify

Heat pump performance must equal 13 SEER or better

Incentive claim must be submitted within 60 days of
unit placement

for multiple units must be approved by the REMC before unit placement to be
eligible for incentive payment.
Multiple incentives
Generally,
only one incentive each for a water heater or
heat pump will be approved per home or building. Multiple equipment
installations must be approved by the REMC before unit placement to be eligible
for incentive payment.
To apply for an incentive
Incentive
claims must be submitted within 60 days of equipment placement by
completing an incentive claim form and returning it to the REMC's Member
Services Department. Proper proof of purchase
(invoice or sales receipt) must be included.
