Appendix "A"

 
Purchased Power Adjustment – The purchased power adjustment in rate schedules “A”, “G”, “P”, and “R” shall be on the basis of a purchased power cost adjustment tracking factor occasioned solely by changes in the cost of purchased power, in accordance with the order of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, approved December 17, 1976, in cause No. 34614, as follows.

Fuel Cost Adjustment – The fuel cost adjustment in dollars per kWh shall be the same as that most recently billed to Jackson County Rural Electric by its purchased power supplier less $.000000, such difference to be divided by one minus the total energy losses of the utility for the preceding year.

Change in Fuel Cost Charge – The above rates are subject to change in fuel cost charge in accordance with IC-8-1-2-1 et. seq., as amended. The change in fuel cost charge is stated in Appendix “FC”, is applicable hereto, and is issued and effective on the date shown on Appendix “FC”.

Schedule of Miscellaneous Charges

Collection Trip - If it shall become necessary to visit a service location because of a consumer’s failure to submit timely payments or to establish account responsibility with positive identification in a timely manner, the consumer shall be charged $40.00 for each such visit.

Bad Check - Whenever a consumer’s payment for any indebtedness to Rural Electric is made by check and said check is returned by the bank for lack of sufficient funds or failure to have an active account, a $30.00 handling and collection charge will be charged to the consumer’s account.

Reconnection of Service - Where a service has been disconnected, payment of a standard service charge will be a condition for restoration of service. If the reconnection can be scheduled for normal working hours, the charge shall be $70.00. If the reconnection requires overtime labor outside of normal working hours, the charge shall be $150.00.

Reconnection associated with maintenance or repair activities and without billing interruption will not be subject to this charge.

If service has been idle for over five years and the facilities and/or right-of-way are no longer suitable for use, Rural Electric may require the customer to be additionally responsible for the restoration costs according to terms applicable to new service line extensions.

Security Light Activation - Basic installation or reconnection of security light service requiring a separate trip to the service location will be charged a fee of $70.00. Activation associated with maintenance or repair activities and without billing interruption will not be subject to this charge.

Temporary Service - When a consumer has contracted for a permanent service extension and requests a temporary connection from that extension for construction purposes only, Rural Electric will provide a temporary service panel at a rate of $35.00 for each six-month period or fraction thereof for a maximum period of twenty-four months, by which time the service must be permanently connected or else be subject to disconnection with proper notice until a permanent connection is provided.
